On May 11th, the Teaching and Research Office of High-end Manufacturing and German Friendship School -Stuttgart Max-Eyth Schule held the Sino-German international exchange activity, that is, the online teaching exchange of 3D printing. The activity was hosted by the assistant principal Mr. Wang Hong, the German teacher Mr. Lang gave the lecture, the German teacher Mr. Schöck and the Chinese teacher Mr. Zhang Yong as the assistant lecturers, the Chinese teacher Jia shenghua and the Chinese teacher Zhao He assisted the translation.
Mr.Lang explained the classification and advantages of additive manufacturing, and the difference between additive manufacturing and traditional subtractive manufacturing. Students have a systematic understanding of additive manufacturing. Afterthat，Mr. Lang signed the task of this course -- to design and develop a universal smartphone holder.
The task is divided into six steps. The first step is to analyze which manufacturing methods are used. The second step is to sketch the design by hand. The third step is to choose an idea to implement. Step 4, Convert the sketch in Solid Edge; Step 5，Create an STL file and print the work; Step 6，Test the smartphone holder and show the results. Among them, the third step is the most important one. Together with the German teacher, the students had a full discussion on the practicality, time, cost and design, and finally formed a variety of styles，low cost and practical mobile phone holders.
本次中德交流活动顺利完成，感谢德国友好校税克老师和郎老师的支持。在活动过程中，学生们受益匪浅，跟德国教师学到了德国实体工业设计理念，在保证实用性的同时，也要保证低成本。 This Sino-German exchange activity has been successfully completed.
